The bold London designer is deemed top fashion designer of the year at the annual awards ceremony.

Known for her feminine cuts and animal friendly garments, Stella McCartney definitely deserves her title.
McCartney began her designing career by started her own fashion house under her name with Gucci Group and showed her first collection in Paris in October of that year. Today, she has created women's collections, accessories, eyewear, perfume, a 100% organic skinline (CARE), and a beauty collection. She has also partnered with ADIDAS, compiling a sports collection for running, gym, yoga, tennis, swimming, and dance. She handles three flagship stores in Manhattan, London, and Los Angeles. Her collections are distributed in over forty countries in boutiques and department stores.
Her other awards include VH1 and Vogue Fashion and Music's Designer of the Year award in 2000, the Woman of Courage award for working against breast cancer from the Unforgetable Evening Event in Los Angeles in 2003, the 2004 Glamour Award for best designer, and the Organic Style Woman of the Year award in 2005. Her current Fall 2007 collection is super chic, featuring heavy coats and a flaunt of the leg. Her designs capture the femininity of a?woman, and compliment the shape of?a woman's?body. Her fur coats are made of faux fur, seeing she has been a long time vegetarian. Her Spring 2008 collection features light pastel colors with flowy fabrics and sexy cuts. Her clothes are a must for any fashionable woman's wardrobe.
