A few suggestions for your best girl friends seeing that the holidays are just around the corner.
By: Mitra Asgarinik
Everyone loves to shop, especially during the holidays; so, why is it so difficult to choose amazing gifts for your closest friends?
Well, for your besties and fashion-lovers, here are a few suggestions for the special fashionista in your life.
To Hold All Her Stuff: Clutches and oversized bags are a must for any fashionable woman. It seems that we need more room to fit our wallets, makeup, cell phone, iPod, and other brickabrack in our purses, so large bags will always be in. And for the formal evenings, a dazzling clutch is the perfect accesory.
What other perfect gift is there for a woman than something Juicy Couture? I am in love with the Daydreamer Velour bags from Juicy. They come in several colors (pink, black, brown or gray) and reek of fun and fashionable. These bags are retailing for $195 at Juicy stores and department stores. Photos courtesy of Nordstrom.Com
For the elegant minimalist, this Stuart Weitzman "Swan" silk clutch is amazing. It has an interior zip and card pockets inside with a cream lining, garnished with pearlesque ornamentals. Retails for $315 at Nordstrom.

To Show Off: Accessorizing is key for most fashionable women, so choosing jewelry as a gift is a safe route. Metallics and boldness are fashion trends for Spring 2008, so why not set your friend off on the right foot?
These Jessica Kagan Cushman bangles are super cute and definitely make a statement. They come in 10 different styles, including the inscriptions "Fashion Can Be Bought" and "Vodka Martini". These are retailing for $125 a piece at Neiman Marcus. Photo courtesy of NeimanMarcus.Com
This absolutely stunning 18k ring with white gold and diamonds from Dior would make one breathtaking gift. It's cute, and will catch eyes at any event with it's dazzling shimmer. Photo courtesy of Dior.Com
To Inform: If they love fashion, then they'll appreciate a book about it or a magazine subscription to a magazine such as Elle, Vogue, or Harper's Bazaar.
Some reccommended texts are:
The Little Dictionary of Fashion
A charming pink book written by Christian Dior, who reveals the secret styles of fashion. It tells how to wear certain garments, and what appropriate attire should be for certain events. Dior also goes over the three fundamentals of fashion (which no girl should be without): simplicity, grooming, and good taste. This little fashion bible retails for about $16 at any bookseller.
The Fashion Book
An interesting book with an alphabetical listing of those who have made their mark on the fashion world. The book not only includes fashion designers but fashion photographers and fashion icons as well. Each page contains a picture or illustration of the artist's work and a brief summary on their contributions to fashion. Retails for about $10 at any bookseller.
For The Daily Routine: Cosmetics. As a close friend or relative, you should know which makeup lines she is fond of. Either grab her the cosmetics you know she loves and uses on a daily basis, or perhaps hook her up with the new holiday lines featured by her favorite cosmetic producer.
MAC's holiday line features "the ornate excess of antiquity, featuring classy shades of pink and gold for lipsticks, romanesque eyeshadows and pigments, and a collection of "royal assests", which are compacts that she can carry her MAC cosmetics in. Bobbi Brown's limited edition of Pink shades is the feature of their holiday collection. You can get the accomanying makeup bag with a pink shimmer eye wash shadow, pink blush, makeup remover, no-smudge mascara, an eyeliner brush, and gel eyeliner all for $85 on BobbiBrown.Com.
