So, the nerdy stereotype has finally given up; glasses are in among the fashionable and famous.

Although it might seem odd, seeing that people are paying thousands of dollars for Lasik surgery, sporting your frames instead of contacts or squinting makes quite the fashion statement.
What's so great about glasses, it that they come in a variety of colors and an array of styles. You can put on a pair for whatever suits your mood or look for the day to compliment your style. Although there are the typical classical and vintage styles of glasses, a chunky frame is one of the top picks among celebrities.
On a health note, switching from your contacts to glasses for a few days will actually benefit your eyes. Your eyes don't receive as much oxygen when you wear contacts (thusly why you're instructed not to wear them when you sleep), so wearing your frames for a few days will do your eyes some good. Also, if you're going to just become a glasses wearer, make sure you're getting the proper perscription from your opthalmologist. And if your eyes don't require any corrective lenses, you can purchase frames without perscriptive lenses and still join in the fad.
