Mostly known for her fabulous roles in movies such as Garden State and V For Vendetta, Natalie Portman is now going into fashion design.

A longtime vegetarian and animal lover, Natalie Portman is launching an animal-friendly footwear line soon.?
Admitting she'd rather be smart than be a movie star, Portman is using her brain and fashion sense to kick off her new line. A vegetarian since childhood, and advocate of animal rights, she does not eat animal products, wear leather, feathers, or fur. She even told The Sun that she "won't wear leather in [her] own life, and won't wear it for a movie either. They have to make clothes from fake leather" (PETA.Org).
Her vegan shoeline, which is teaming with Te Casan, will be available for pre-order starting January 15. (The full line should be available and ready to be purchased by early February.) Her designs are rumored to cost you about $200 a pair, and five percent of profits will go to charity. Not much else is known about her shoeline. You can visit Te Casan's website on the fifteenth to begin pre-ordering. And if you fail to remember this date, we will update you with the best selections the collection offers.
The only sneak-peek available for Natalie Portman's new line, is the picture of her on Te Casan's website featuring her in a pair of adorable red Mary Janes. And what a sneak-peek! If Portman's designs are sexy and animal friendly, I will be all over her line.
